The annual ASTF award goes to a Moroccan

The Moroccan inventor, Mohamed Nabil Srifi, won the award ‘Made in the Arab World” contest organized by the Arab Science and Technology Foundation award for inventing a pilot project to use telecommunications in the field of medicine.

He said he was proud and happy to get this award because his invention is bound to contribute to enhancing techniques of early detection of the breast cancer.

This invention will make it possible to send diagnosis results to hospital centers via a telecommunication, he added.

About 530 inventors from Morocco, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Sudan, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Algeria, contested the awards.

ASTF is a nongovernmental and non-profit international organization that was founded in 2000 to establish links in the Arab world and to encourage scientists, technologists, researchers and science students for more inventions.
